Announced Date: 10/22/2013 Published Date: 10/22/2013

ARRIS Group announced that WOW!, a provider of high-speed Internet, cable TV and phone services, and Alaska telecommunications company GCI have selected the ARRIS E6000 converged edge router to deliver faster speeds and greater network coverage.

Privately owned WOW! has served communities in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio since 1996, and in Kansas, South Dakota and the southeast since 2012.

WOW! chose the ARRIS E6000 router to enable efficient and scalable expansion and to meet the needs of its more than 700,000 subscribers following a successful deployment of the ARRIS Whole Home Solution with Moxi user interface.

The ARRIS E6000 enables GCI to deliver popular services, like high-speed Internet and VoIP, while scaling to deliver future entertainment services.

The ARRIS E6000 offers integrated, hitless RF fail-over, hot-swapping of cards and field-deployment ready IPv6 support with one of the highest densities per rack unit available. Designed for 99.999% system availability, the self-healing design minimises service outages.
